Marky Cielo does not come off as the typical dashing, debonair actor that other teen actors are being packaged to become. Instead, the first Sole Survivor of StarStruck Batch 3 has taken a different route: becoming the endearingly appealing lead who turn into a superhero.

Unlike other teen actors nowadays, Marky does not have mestizo features, nor does he come from any showbiz clan. What he does have, and what makes him particularly appealing, are his genuine ethnic roots. He proudly proclaims that he is the first Igorot to enter showbiz.

After winning StarStruck in 2006, Marky saw doors opening for him, leading to various assignments that showcased his acting ability. He appeared in various TV shows, including Encantadia, Bakekang, and Asian Treasures, and was given starring roles in two telefantasyas, Fantastikids and the Philippine Adaptation of Shaider.

For someone who just wanted to try his luck in showbiz, Marky is now savoring in career filled with opportunities others can only aspire for.
