Gabby Concepcion showed up for the pre-Valentine’s concert produced by Annabelle Rama for her husband Eddie Guttierez. A lot of people took part in the event, and of course KC Concepcion and Richard Guttierez were there, arriving after attending the premiere night of their movie When I Met U.

But the guest list and even the performers were not the reason this event was talked about. Somehow Gabby Concepcion managed to make KC and Richard more uncomfortable than Pops Fernandez did who was singing in her nasal voice looking like a fish when Gabby was asked on stage.

Asked to make a speech, Gabby apparently had no reason whatsoever to stop himself from embarrassing her daughter. I know that a lot of people have been embarrassed by their parents one time or another, maybe in the field demonstration in first grade when their mother suddenly went ahead and ran through the crowd and onto the stage—in the middle of the presentation—to wipe her son’s sweat and snot off his face.

But saying that Gabby Concepcion embarrassed KC was an understatement. It was like the most awkward moment you had in your life that you wished no one ever saw, then you realize that the show’s being televised and your embarrassed reaction is going to be burned in everyone’s faces.

But what exactly has Gabby Concepcion done?

During his little speech, Gabby made a little joke about KC and Richard about getting married. He said he could finally call him “son-in-law” and Annabelle and Eddie “balae” (in laws). At that point, what do you know, a camera was focused on Richard’s and KC’s faces waiting for them to drop dead, probably.

In a later interview, Gabby said that he was just kidding and was really just having fun at the show (obviously), but he can’t take it away because Annabelle was already jumping up and down with joy at Gabby’s statement. She said that it had always been her dream for KC and Richard to end up together in marriage because she already considers KC as her daughter and she loves her very much.

What will happen about Gabby’s joke and Annabelle’s hopes are up to KC and Richard now. But I just have to commend Gabby Concepcion for providing me a juicy story because of his stupid joke.

Talk about the most regrettable joke in the history of stupidity.
