Diether Ocampo jumped with joy that he got to sing his lame song in Harvard. He somehow managed again to piss us all off last night, casually retelling his experiences during his stay in Harvard. He was one of the Filipino delegates in a seminar conducted in Harvard University in the U.S. And somehow, he mentioned about his awesome experience when, during the last day of the stay and they were all just drinking booze and has basically forgotten to act like decent human beings, he found himself singing his “original rock song” entitled Rock Manila.

A little background for those who are not aware, or up until now are still denying that Diether is a douche, a couple of years ago he went and formed a “rock” band called Blow and they released a single entitled Rock Manila. Of course if you’re a newly-formed rock band and you’re releasing your first single, it naturally has to include the word “rock” in it, otherwise how would people know what genre you’re band is?

I cannot even begin to say how stupid and pretentious Diether Ocampo looks and sings in the song. The song, the band, the name, are all one big CLICHE. You know all those running jokes people make about poseurs and their outfits and their lame songs and lyrics? Diether must’ve thought those were good ideas, not realizing they were jokes, and went ahead and did all of it in one single BLOW.

Good thing it wasn’t followed by another song, and the band was smitten by the powers that be. Unfortunately, Diether Ocampo and his “singing” is one pesky little insect that’s hard to kill. Last night, he actually bragged about singing his song in Harvard for goodness’ sake, most probably bringing in more humiliation to our country than it already has.
