Boy Abunda weeps in national television because of Dra. Vicky Belo
Boy Abunda wasn’t able to control himself from crying after hearing what his long-time friend Dra. Vicky Belo made an insulting remark about him. Dra. Vicky Belo’s exact words were,”If you want to look like Boy Abunda, you go to Dr. Calayan, if you want to look like Dingdong and Piolo, go to Belo.” Drs. Calayan and Dra. Vicky Belo are the top two cosmetic surgeons for celebrities in the Philippines.

Of course, if you were a potential client and you heard the remark, the natural initial reaction would be, “why in hell would I want to look like an old, bald, gay man?”. Dingdong and Piolo are supposedly the the top two most gorgeous leading men in Philippine TV, so compared to them, Boy Abunda is like snot. He’s always looked like a snot, but no one has ever dared declare it openly because of his reputation, so making that remark was like poking a sleeping dragon in the eye. It was that risky, but we can’t help applauding secretly for her courage.
But in fairness to Boy Abunda, he’s one of the most credible talk show hosts, and he’s not sleazy, and he’s pretty decent most of the time. Unfortunately, we’re not talking about personality here. And Boy Abunda understands that fact, so when he heard about the remark, he openly weeps in his prime time show, SNN, saying how he hurt he was about it.
But let’s take a moment here and break down Dra. Vicky Belo’s words. There’s actually two potential meanings behind it. The first one is apparently what made Boy Abundan weep like a little girl, that she’s insulting him. However, it could also mean that she’s merely pointing out the endorsers for her and Drs. Calayan. Saying that’s their endorser, and these are mine, so you decide.
Whatever Dra. Vicky Belo’s intention was, it was one of the most amusing things I’ve heard in Philippine TV recently. Maybe it’s the result of all the screw-ups she’s been having these past few months. Reports say they’re still waiting for her statement regarding Boy Abunda’s reaction, so let’s wait for it. I’ll bet you she’ll say something hilarious again.

I am surprise Abunda still can’t accept the facts! No cosmetic surgery will change a thing, unless if can restructure your DNA.
For me, its alright for him to react that way. he’s only human and and a remark coming from a friend was a real shock for him and he was hurt. We can’t blame Mr. Abunda, but instead we should understand him.
Boy Abunda deserves that. He has no aesthetic value at all! How come he has the gall to endorse a cosmetic surgeon? What exactly did Dr. Calayan do to Boy Abunda to improve his looks? I can’t see any improvement at all.
Guys, do not talk about personality or decency or anything like that because we are talking about physical beauty here. The old cliche “beauty comes from within” does not apply in the dog-eats-dog world of showbiz where only the slim and clean survives. More so, do not talk about credibility here. Boy Abunda losses all the credibility left in him by endorsing, albeit unsuccessfully, a cosmetic surgeon. He’s more of a liability than an asset!
Who from hell in the first place influenced the Calayans to get Boy Abunda and John Lapus to endorse their services? Tsk Tsk Tsk. Wrong move….

OMG!!!!!!!!i could say Mr.Ms.Boy Abunda is good in hosting and absolutely good looking man in TV…But then,although he has all of those personality it doesnt mean that his Good enough to be on top…I mean,vicky belo says that line maybe becoz they had there own misunderstanding,maybe Boy had said something to Vicky, and that is not big issue anyways,Vicky has no ryt to tell to him that phrase coz both of them living and sorrounded by the celebrity industries…..Ahy naku!!!!!!!!!its not a problem anyways…dont mind them Nagpapansin lang ang mag yan>.>>they are
